​​​​Ayr schools cluster

The group of state schools to the north of the mighty Burdekin River are known as the Ayr Schools Cluster. This Cluster consists of Ayr State High School (est. 1937), ten (10) State Primary Schools, and the Burdekin School. Ayr Stare School was established in 1886 and with Ayr East State School are the two largest schools in the area.

Ayr State High School works closely with all of its cluster schools on a range of inter-school programs, such as the Year 7-8 transition process. The Principals meet on a regular basis and from this, ensure a greater collective schooling experience for the students in the Ayr Cluster.

The other State High School in the Burdekin area and south of the Burdekin River is Home Hill State High School (Est. 1964) which also has a schools Cluster. The following other Ayr Cluster Schools and Contact Information is provided below.
