Leroy off to VIEWS in July Holidays

Leroy Brown
Congratulations to Leroy Brown in Year 10 who has been accepted into the Victorian Indigenous Engineering Winter School (VIEWS).   It is open to Year 11 and 12 students and it is remarkable that Leroy has been able to gain a place when he is only in Year 10.   Over six days, Leroy will get an insight into what it’s like to study and work in engineering.  He will work at Monash University, RMIT, Swinburne University of Technology and the University of Melbourne.
Leroy will have the opportunity to learn about the different pathways available to become an engineer and hear first-hand the inspirational stories of Indigenous engineers and engineering students. The camp gives students an appreciation of what an engineer does and how they can impact society and improve the lives of people across the globe.
