Community Shield Touch Series - Game 1

Community Services and Year 12 Students
On Friday 2 June, we kicked off the Community Shield Touch Series.  This was the first of a three games series which sees the Year 12 cohort verse a combined Community Services team (Police, Ambulance and Fire Services).  During second break, our Year 12 team along with a number of supporters headed down to the oval.  It was an exciting game, with an extremely close score line. Our subs were eager to get on the field and contribute to the team.  Everyone enjoyed the fun but fast-paced game.  In the end, there was no clear winner with a ‘2 all’ tie.  Thank you to Jack O’Keefe and Keagan Flynn (both Year 10) who kindly refereed the game.  This series allows our school to connect and build a relationship with the wider community and we look forward to the next two games (one each in Term 3 and Term 4 in grad week).
